• Reyna: City of Donna is now accepting bids to expand the Donna-Rio Bravo International Bridge (riograndeguardian.com) — Donna’s long-awaited expansion of the Donna-Rio Bravo International Bridge is finally moving into active construction, with bids expected in January and work likely starting in May. Funded by Donna bonds and TxDOT, the $72 million project will add northbound commercial lanes and connect to major corridors like I‑2 and the planned SH 68, potentially transforming local traffic, jobs, and development opportunities. 
• Donna will soon begin search for new city manager (valleycentral.com) — Donna’s city council has fired City Manager Jorge Peña and will soon launch a search for his replacement, leaving no interim manager named yet. City Attorney Dennis Ramirez says residents can expect services to continue normally while the council works through budgeting and business concerns that drove the split.
