1 Killed, Another Hurt In North Austin Car Lot Shooting

The shooting at 11320 FM 2222 just after 5 p.m. on Friday left one man dead and another with life-threatening injuries; suspect at large.

AUSTIN, TX — Two men were shot, one fatally, outside a used car dealership in North Austin on Friday evening, police said.

On Saturday, police in a news release said officers responded to multiple calls alerting to shots fired at the car dealership on 11320 FM 2222 just after 5 p.m. Upon arrival, officers found two critically injured men suffering from gunshot wounds.

Austin-Travis County EMS medics transported one Hispanic male to Dell Seton Hospital with life- threatening injuries, police said, while a second man was pronounced dead just before 5:30 p.m. Police identified the dead man as identified as 61-year-old Jerry Paul Lee, who was an employee of the car dealership.

Police said the circumstances surrounding the shootings are under investigation, and a $1,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest of the suspect.
