9 YMCA of Austin Locations Hosting Free Open House Events
From archery to kickball and from pickleball to swimming, a full array of activities is planned this weekend at area YMCA locations.
AUSTIN, TX — Nine YMCA if Austin locations in Travis, Hays and Bastrop Counties will be hosting free Open House events for the community this weekend, officials announced on Tuesday.
The events this Saturday and Sunday (Sept. 12-13) require advance registration. Read more details about the YMCA events here. Since reopening facilities in June, officials noted, all YMCA of Austin locations have implemented a number of safety procedures, including:
- Temperature checks at entry.
- Mandatory face coverings.
- Capacity limits.
- Social distancing throughout facilities, including exercise classes and fitness centers.
- Increased cleaning protocols.

- Staged at the Bastrop Y Outdoor Fitness Studio in Bob Bryant Park.
- Free demo classes including TRX & Circuit.
- Free personal training consultations.
- Pickleball lessons.
