AACC Hosts Black History Month Mini Film Festival In Austin

The mini film festival will screen to the public at the Main Mall of the UT campus and features varied works from Black creatives.

AUSTIN, TX—In commemoration of Black History Month, AACC will host a film festival highlighting the work of Black creatives. The free film festival will take place at the Main Mall on UT Austin's Campus, and submissions will be projected to the screen on the lawn, where guests are invited to watch.

The Black History Month Mini Film Festival scheduled to begin Thursday, Feb. 18 at 7 p.m., will offer health and safety guidelines to prevent the spread of COVID-19, including enforcement of mandatory mask use and social distancing. There will be chairs, blanket and pre-packaged foods/drinks provided.

If you or someone you know is a director, actor, and/or producer with short films, music videos, trailers, web series episodes, etc., and would like to be featured as part of the mini film festival, apply using the google form HERE.
