Aggravated Robbery Suspect Sought By Austin Police
The incident occurred on Monday evening at the Al's Food Mart on 3503 Webberville Rd. where the armed suspect fled on foot with cash.
AUSTIN, TX — Police are seeking help from the public in identifying a suspect in an aggravated assault robbery, officials said on Friday.
The incident occurred on Monday at around 6:20 p.m., police said in an advisory. According to a police account, the incident occurred at the Al's Food Mart on 3503 Webberville Rd. where the suspect entered the store and held the clerk at gunpoint while demanding money. The suspect fled on foot with cash from the registers, police said.
The suspect is described as a light-skinned Hispanic man believed to be in his 20s. Police described him as thin and standing about six feet in height. He was last seen wearing black attire, including a Nike baseball cap and Jordan sneakers with white soles. The suspect speaks in a Central American or Cuban accent, police added.

While detectives continue their investigation, they urge those with information to call the robbery tip line at (512) 974-5092, Crime Stoppers at (512) 472-TIPS, submit a tip on the Crime Stoppers website or use the Crime Stoppers app. Those submitting tips have the option of remaining anonymous, police said, and may be eligible for a reward up to $1,000. Tips also can be submitted anonymously through the police departments mobile app, Austin PD, which can be downloaded for free on iPhone and iPhone and Android.
