Amplify Austin Day 2021 Lends Support To Neighbors In Need

Over 700 nonprofits will participate in this year's efforts to raise awareness and funding for organizations that help Central Texans.

AUSTIN, TX—As communities like Austin continue to grapple with the effects of the ongoing pandemic, and the recent winter storm emergency event, there's never been a more critical time to help neighbors in need. In an effort to help Central Texas recover, Amplify Austin Day 2021offers opportunities to support nearly 700 nonprofits in need.

AmplifyATX.org is a trusted resource for giving to local causes impacting Central Texas, including this year's almost 700 vetted organizations, representing 19 different cause categories from basic needs, disaster response, to animal care and services, arts & culture, racial equity and more. Community members are able to lend their financial support directly through a monthly donation, volunteer sign up, creating a fundraiser, or by giving to agencies and organizations you care about on Thursday, March 4 & Friday, March 5.

This year also features Amplify LIVE, the first-ever livestream event airing Thursday, March 4 - Friday, March 5 on the AmplifyATX.org home page. The livestream will include primetime hours on March 4 from 6 p.m. - 7 p.m., and 8:30 a.m. - 9:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. on March 5. The livestream is set to feature the Austin area local nonprofit community, Amplify Austin Day's leading sponsors, Central Texans representing generosity, celebrity guests, businesses, media leaders, and music performances for all to enjoy.

Following the devastation of the February winter storms throughout Central Texas, Austin-based I Live Here I Give Here (ILHIGH) created ILHIGH Amplify: Disaster Relief Fund, a matching gift fund to support over 130 organizations on the AmplifyATX.org giving site whose missions focused on: Basic Needs, Disaster Relief & Emergency Response, Human Services, and/or Housing, Shelter & Homelessness. ILHIGH received its first donation to the disaster relief fund from Social Solutions, who provided a generous contribution of $10,000.
