Austin Area Retreat Center Offers 62 Acres For Quiet Reflection
Still Waters Retreat Center, a spiritual outpost, opens its trails and nature spaces for the community to experience on a donation basis.

AUSTIN, TX—Austin-area residents are invited to enjoy quiet reflection and a restorative space amid 62 acres of trails at the Still Waters Retreat Center – a spiritual outpost of First Baptist Church of Austin. Day Use of Still Waters Retreat Center Trails and/or Hermitage is an opportunity for the community to enjoy the trails and outdoor spaces, on a donation basis, and connect with the spectacular natural surroundings.
Still Waters Retreat Center will also use of their Hermitage, for a small fee, as an indoor space for reflection, journaling, and/or meditation. Guests are welcome to choose from a range of dates and times including:
- Tuesdays: 11:00 - 6:00 pm
- Thursdays: 9:00 - 6:00 pm
- Saturdays: 9:00 - 4:00 pm
- Sundays: 1:00 - 5:00 pm

- 4 trails, spread out over 62 acres. The Creation Trail is a contemplative journey with seven stations reflecting on the seven days of Creation. Our Peace Trail is a reflective trail celebrating quotes on peace from a wide variety of religions. (Donations are greatly appreciated!)
- Prayer labyrinth.
- Picnic tables.
- Plenty of wide open spaces to soak in the sun, so bring a blanket.
- Hermitage, our small air conditioned/heated 12'x12' building with writing table and comfortable chairs. ($25 fee)
