Austin Breweries, Eateries Offer Water To Residents In Need
Austin-area restaurants and breweries to offer drinkable water distribution for residents impacted by water shortage, water boil notice.
AUSTIN, TX— As Austin-area residents continue struggling amid power outages, boil water notices, and water shortages resulting from the unprecedented winter weather emergency event, several Austin and neighboring communities will offer drinkable water for distribution. Residents are asked to bring their own containers to fill, and are asked to arrive safely and avoid driving in areas of ice and snow.
Water distribution found below is designated for Friday, Feb. 19. For more information, click on the individual links below and visit social media pages for further updates.
- MLK Bakery and Batch is offering clean drinking water. Customers are asked to bring their own containers. Distribution from 12 p.m .- 6 p.m. 3220 Manor Rd., Austin, TX 78723
- Central District Brewing is offering clean drinking water. Customers are asked to bring their own containers. Distribution TBD. 417 Red River St, Austin, TX 78701
- Circle Brewing Company is offering clean drinking water. Customers are asked to bring their own containers. Distribution from 12 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. 2340 W Braker Ln b, Austin, TX 78758
- Hopsquad Brewing Co. is offering clean drinking waters. Customers are asked to bring their own containers. Distribution from 12 p.m. - 5 p.m. 5 gallon limit per group. Onsite truck Tsuke Honten will offer free meals to people in need.
- Lazarus Brewing Co. is offering clean drinking water. Customers are asked to bring refillable containers. Distribution from 9 a.m. - 10 p.m.
- Meanwhile Beer is offering clean drinking water. Customers are asked to bring their own containers. Distribution begins at 10 a.m. 10 gallon limit per household group.
- Grocery chain Natural Grocer is offering free filtered water to people who bring their own containers, available through Tuesday, February 23. The Austin locations are found on in Arbor Walk, Cedar Park, Georgetown, and on North Lamar.
- Prep to Your Door is offering clean drinkable water. Customers are asked to bring their own containers. Distribution from 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. 507 Calles Street, Suite 100, Austin, TX
- Rebel Cheese is offering clean, boiled water. Customers are asked to bring their own containers. Distribution from 11 a.m. - 6 p.m. 2200 Aldrich St Suite 120, Austin, TX 78723.
- Simply Rainwater opened water giveaway stations throughout the city including South Congress cafe the Meteor from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., and Gabriela’s in East Austin from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.
- St. Elmo is offering clean drinkable water. Customers are asked to bring their own containers. Distribution from 12 p.m. - 5 p.m. 440 E. St. Elmo Rd., Austin, TX 78745
