Austin Chamber 'Economic Outlook' Focuses On Recovery
Described as the 'premier business and economic forecasting event of the year,' the annual gathering has been altered by the pandemic.
AUSTIN, TX — The Greater Austin Chamber of Commerce on Wednesday will host its virtual Economic Outlook program officials describe as the "premier business and economic forecasting event of the year."
The event is scheduled on Wednesday. Given the coronavirus pandemic, this year's iteration of the conference will provide an analysis and predictions for economic recovery. Sarah House, senior economist for Wells Fargo Securities, will provide the economic forecast amid a rapid shift in the composition of jobs, spending and investment.
Also featured will be a discussion of future policy support, as well as how the Austin economy is positioned to grow in the year ahead. Erin Browne, managing director and portfolio manager at PIMCO, will discuss potential opportunities across asset classes, how active management can help determine the winners and losers created by the recovery, and why portfolios that are thoughtfully constructed, well-diversified and sufficiently nimble will likely be in the best position to navigate the road ahead.
