Registration for spring classes is underway for Austin Community College District ahead of the start of the semester on Tuesday, Jan. 19.

AUSTIN, TX — Amid a landscape slowed by the coronavirus, the Austin Community College District remains a hub of activity, spurred by spring registration currently taking place.

Registration for spring classes is underway for Austin Community College District ahead of the start of the semester on Tuesday, Jan. 19. The college district offers four ways to learn this spring including: Flexible online, scheduled online, hybrid, and a limited number of in-person class options. Spring registration runs through Monday (Jan.18). All options include access to the college district's full system of student support services such as free online tutoring, academic advising, and more.

  • Support for graduates: A record-breaking number of graduates are looking toward the future after the weekend commencement ceremony. The college continues to offer support for their next steps.
    • Preparing for remote careers: Austin Community College experts weigh in on tips to prepare for a remote career. Guidance includes what to expect in the workforce, when to apply and how the job hunt has changed. The college district provides personalized support through Career Services. Learn more about skills, resume writing, or schedule 1-on-1 support at the college district's Career Services portal.
    • Live Chat with an Austin Community College Transfer Specialist: Transfer specialists will be readily available 9 a.m. to noon on Friday (Dec. 18) via Google Chat. The college was recently recognized as the No. 1 college in Texas for university transfer success. The college’s Transfer Services team provides year-round support to help students make the move from ACC to another institution.   • New Fast Track Programs Launch this Week: Train for a new career quickly and affordably with the college district's Fast Track programs. The college’s Fast Track Career Certificates can equip you with in-demand skills, for jobs hiring right now. This week, new training programs in HVAC launch.   • Save thousands while pursuing a Texas A&M Engineering Degree at Austin Community College: Sign up now to learn more about the Texas A&M-Chevron Engineering Academy at Austin Community College during a virtual information session 4 p.m. to 5 p.m., on Thursday (Dec. 17). Supported by Chevron, the Academy allows students to earn an A&M Engineering degree for a fraction of the cost by starting at ACC. Students who are admitted are guaranteed admission to Texas A&M University School of Engineering in College Station and can transition as early as their sophomore year.
