Austin Coronavirus Data Corrected After 'Submission Error'
A 'submission error' from a laboratory required city officials to input correct COVID-19 statistics from the beginning of the week.
AUSTIN, TX — Austin officials have corrected data on the coronavirus spread locally, a move prompted by a "submission error" by a laboratory, officials said Thursday.
The corrected data is scheduled to be updated on the Austin-Travis County COVID-19 dashboard by 7 p.m., city officials wrote in an advisory. The corrected numbers to be input into the dashboard are as follows:

- 30,320 total cases (121 new cases)
- 441 total deaths (No new deaths)
Monday Oct. 12
- 30,402 total cases (82 new cases)
- 442 total deaths (1 new death)

- 30,601 total cases (98 new cases)

City officials added that the seven-day Moving Average for New Confirmed Cases and Doubling Time data will be adjusted to address the laboratory submission errors.
