AUSTIN, TX — DC Law, the Austin-based personal injury law firm, has launched its 2020 Veterans Day fundraiser supporting the local nonprofit organization, Service Dogs, Inc., officials said Wednesday.

With the help of Austin and surrounding Central Texas communities, DC Law hopes to raise and donate a total of $10,000 to Service Dogs, Inc. to support wounded veterans through partnerships with custom-trained service dogs, officials explained.

Starting Wednesday through Veterans Day on Wednesday, Nov. 11, DC Law will match monetary donations to Service Dogs, Inc., up to $5,000. That means every dollar donated through DC Law’s fundraising page, here, is doubled, officials noted.

Service Dogs, Inc. helps Texans build better lives and overcome challenges through partnerships with assistance dogs, provided free of charge. One of Service Dog, Inc.’s primary goals is to bring greater independence to wounded veterans through partnerships with working dogs who perform a variety of assistive tasks, including item retrieval, opening and closing doors, tugging off jackets and socks and more.

In addition to supporting veterans, Service Dogs, Inc. trains assistance dogs who help children find their voice in court, provide first responders with healthy ways to process the stress, trauma and grief they encounter daily on the job, and help unwanted shelter dogs find renewed lives of love and service.
