Austin Police Seek Convenience Store Robbery Suspects
Law enforcement officials seek help from the public in identifying a pair of suspects accused of robbing two stores in a 30-minute span.
AUSTIN, TX — The Austin Police Department is seeking help from the public in identifying suspects in a pair of robberies that occurred within 30 minutes of each other on Friday, officials said.
The incident occurred between around 6:07 a.m. and 6:27 a.m. at a Shell gas station at 13296 North U.S. 183 Highway service road and a Texaco store at 8925 Anderson Mill Rd., according to a police advisory.
Police said the robberies are believed to have been committed by two suspects acting in concert. One armed suspect entered one of the stores before going behind the counter while demanding cash, police said. Law enforcement officials said the clerk subsequently attempted to chase the suspect out of the store, and a shot was fired. No injuries resulted from the incident, police added.

The first suspect was described as a Black man standing between five feet, seven inches, and five feet, eight inches. He was described as young, but not age estimate was provided. His weight was estimated at around 155 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black-and-red hoodie with a skiing logo on the back clothed in yellow-tinted attire. The suspect was armed with a handgun, police added.
Police said the second suspect as a Black man described as skinny and standing at around five feet, seven inches, with dark complexion. He was wearing a black face mask at the time, gloves and a purple sweatshirt emblazoned with the words "Backwoods Honey Berry Cigar," police added. He also was armed with a black handgun, according to law enforcement officials.
