Austin Police Seek Help Finding Man Missing Since 2012
The parents of Adrian Demont Washington told police they have not heard from their son since May 26, 2012.

AUSTIN, TX — Police on Friday issued a plea for help from the public in the case of a man reported missing eight years ago.
On June 1, 2012, police responded to the 6200 block of Loyola Lane for a missing person call. Upon arrival, officers made contact with the parents of Adrian Demont Washington, 44, who told police they had not heard from him since May 26, 2012, according to the advisory.
The missing man's parents told police the lack of communication from their son was unusual. Moreover, the parents told police they made efforts to talk with individuals who knew their son in addition to visiting places he frequented, but turned up no clues as to his whereabouts.

Police released this photo of Adrian Demont Washington, 44, in the hopes someone might recognize him and alert them as to his whereabouts.
Austin Police Department detectives made contact with numerous family members and acquaintances and conducted extensive follow-up on Mr. Washington’s potential whereabouts — including partnering with the Department of Public Safety — to investigate reported activity in the San Antonio area, officials said in the advisory.

Washington’s last known location was in Austin. He was known to drive a blue, 2001 Ford Expedition that disappeared at the same time he did.
Those with information about Washington's whereabouts are urged to reach out to detectives.
