Austin Police Seek Sonic Drive-In Robbery Suspect
The incident occurred on Friday, Aug. 14, around 12:40 p.m. at the restaurant located on 9916 Brodie Lane.
AUSTIN, TX — The Austin Police Department is seeking help from the public in identifying a suspect wanted in an August robbery of a Sonic Drive-In restaurant.
The incident occurred on Friday, Aug. 14, around 12:40 p.m. at the restaurant located on 9916 Brodie Lane. According to a police advisory, the suspect entered the restaurant armed with a black pipe and box cutter before demanding money. The suspect then fled on foot with an undetermined amount of cash, police said.
Police described the suspect as a white man of thin build between the ages of 25-29. He was last seen wearing black Adidas pants with white stripes, white shoes, black hoodie, gray Nike ball cap and blue protective mask. Police released surveillance camera images of the suspect:
