Austin Public Health Traces 57 Nursing Home Coronavirus Clusters
As of Friday, health officials said they were investigating 57 clusters emerging from long-term care facilities across Travis County.
AUSTIN, TX — Austin Public Health officials are investigating clusters of the coronavirus at 57 long-term care facilities across Austin and Travis County, officials said.
A case cluster is defined as three or more positive cases of COVID-19 at a single location, health district officials explained. As of Friday, health officials said they were tracking the 57 clusters which is a level unchanged from last week. Health district officials divided the clusters into quadrants by Interstate 35 and the Colorado River on the Austin Public Health website.

- Northeast - 11 clusters.
- Southwest - 29 clusters.
- Southeast - 2 clusters.
