Free Week returns to Red River!
Join us January 9-10, 2026 for two jam-packed days of local music, food, culture and community in the heart of Downtown Austin’s Red River Cultural District.
Austin’s favorite admission-free winter music festival is back and bigger than ever, with 100+ local performers taking the stage across 10+ venues – including iconic spots like Mohawk, Barbarella and Stubb's.
Founded in 2003 to support local artists and small businesses during Austin’s slower winter months, Free Week continues to be a vital celebration of local culture. All events are free for fans to attend and every performance is a paid gig for the artists – made possible through support from venue partners, sponsors, and public donations.
Support the fest at www.redriverculturaldistrict.org with tax-deductible donations to the Red River Cultural District accepted year-round as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit.
