CANCELED: Night Paddle Event Benefits Flatwater Foundation

AUSTIN, TX— Update from the Flatwater Foundation regarding the event:

Due to the drastic rise in COVID-19 cases in Travis County, it is with a heavy heart that we announce our decision to cancel the upcoming Glow Paddle ATX, an event benefiting Flatwater Foundation, originally scheduled for August 20, 2021. The decision was made for the health and safety of the community, our paddlers, and all participating staff members involved in the event. We encourage you to continue wearing your masks and practice social distancing when necessary. Follow us on social media for updates on future events.

Experience an evening enjoying some fun on the water while benefitting a great cause in Austin! Rowing Dock ATX and TYLER’S invite you to Glow Paddle ATX in support of the Flatwater Foundation for an exciting night paddle event with friends and neighbors.

Participants are encouraged to dress in their brightest, shiniest and most flamboyant apparel to light up Lady Bird Lake! Scheduled Friday, Aug. 20 at 7:45 p.m. at Rowing Dock located at 2418 Stratford Dr, Austin, TX 78746 (Google map). Paddlers will check-in and begin their paddling from Rowing Dock ATX and make their way downstream to 1st St. Bridge, and then head back upstream to Rowing Dock ATX and complete 3.6 miles.
