Group Seeks Input on Guadalupe Corridor Improvement Program
My Guadalupe is hosting an open house to discuss plans to improve the Guadalupe corridor.

My Guadalupe, a student-run advocacy group, is hosting an open house at the University of Texas on Tuesday, to discuss plans to improve the Guadalupe corridor.
The event will be held in Professor Sinclair Black’s classroom in Goldsmith Hall from 7 to 9 p.m.
The city is trying to figure out how to improve the corridor, aka The Drag, which stretches from 29th Street to Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd.

My Guadalupe says it wants to keep Guadalupe people-friendly, with a mix of nightlife activities and safe crossings, according to a press release. The group is also asking the University of Texas to tear down the West Campus Mall’s wall and re-establish the main entrance on campus.
“The university MUST begin discussing how it can play a part in transforming the eastern half of the right-of-way. Because how can Guadalupe become a Great and Complete street if only half of it is transformed?” the group said.
