Interstate 35 Lane Closure List Aug. 29-Sept. 4, 2020

AUSTIN, TX — The Texas Department of Transportation has released its weekly list of Interstate 35 lane closures. By checking this list before traveling, motorists are able to avoid areas of potential traffic congestion.

The latest list covers the period between Aug. 29 to Sept. 4.

I-35 FROM RM 1431 TO FM 3406 (NORTHBOUND)

• Northbound I-35 frontage road reduced to one lane from Jeffrey Way to the RM 1431 exit (#256)
  • Through early 2021

I-35 FROM RUNDBERG LANE TO US 290 EAST

• Southbound US 183 Cameron Road exit closed
  • Through September
• Northbound US 183 frontage road reduced to one lane from I-35 to Gessner Drive
  • Until September
• Southbound I-35 frontage road right lane closed nightly from Blackson Avenue to Huntland Drive
  • Sunday, Aug. 30 through Wednesday, Sept. 2 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Southbound US 183 frontage road closed nightly from I-35 to Providence Avenue
  • Sunday, Aug. 30 through Thursday, Sept. 3 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Southbound I-35 frontage road closed nightly from Wonsley Drive to US 183. The US 183 exit (#240) will also be closed.
  • Sunday, Aug. 30 through Thursday, Sept. 3 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Northbound I-35 frontage road reduced to one lane daily from Blackson Avenue to US 183
  • Monday, Aug. 31 through Tuesday, Sept. 1 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
• Northbound and southbound I-35 frontage road right lane closed daily from Blackson Avenue to Huntland Drive
  • Monday, Aug. 31 through Friday, Sept. 4 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
• Eastbound and westbound St. Johns Avenue closed at the southbound I-35 frontage road
  • Monday, Aug. 31 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Southbound US 183 closed nightly from Lamar Boulevard and I-35
  • Tuesday, Sept. 1 through Thursday, Sept. 3 from 8 p.m. until 5 a.m.

I-35 FROM STASSNEY LANE TO WILLIAM CANNON DRIVE

• Westbound William Cannon Drive right turn lane closed daily at the northbound I-35 frontage road
  • Saturday, Aug. 29 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
  • Monday, Aug. 31 through Friday, Sept. 4 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
• Northbound I-35 left lane closed from Slaughter Lane to the Woodward Street exit (#230). The William Cannon Drive entrance ramp will also be closed.
  • Monday, Aug. 31 from 10 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Northbound I-35 frontage road right lane closed from Slaughter Lane to Stassney Lane
  • Monday, Aug. 31 through Friday, Sept. 4 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
• Northbound I-35 frontage road reduced to one lane daily from Stassney Lane to Teri Road
  • Monday, Aug. 31 through Friday, Sept. 4 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
• Southbound I-35 left lane closed from William Cannon Drive to Foremost Drive
  • Monday, Aug. 31 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Southbound I-35 frontage road right lane closed daily from Battle Bend Boulevard to Stassney Lane
  • Monday, Aug. 31 through Friday, Sept. 4 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
• Southbound I-35 frontage road right lane closed daily from Stassney Lane to William Cannon Drive
  • Monday, Aug. 31 through Friday, Sept. 4 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
• Southbound I-35 frontage road left lane closed daily from the Slaughter Lane exit to the Slaughter Lane entrance ramp
  • Monday, Aug. 31 through Friday, Sept. 4 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
• Southbound I-35 left lane closed nightly from the William Cannon Drive to the Slaughter Lane entrance ramp
  • Monday, Aug. 31 through Tuesday, Sept. 1 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Northbound I-35 right lane closed from Slaughter Lane to the Woodward Street exit (#230). The Slaughter Lane entrance ramp will also be closed.
  • Tuesday, Sept. 1 from 10 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Southbound I-35 left lane closed from William Cannon Drive to the William Cannon Drive entrance ramp
  • Wednesday, Sept. 2 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Southbound I-35 right lane closed from William Cannon Drive to William Cannon Drive entrance ramp
  • Thursday, Sept. 3 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.

I-35 AT POSEY ROAD

• Posey Road bridge closed at I-35
  • Until further notice
• Northbound I-35 Posey Road exit (#199) is closed
  • Until further notice
• Southbound I-35 reduced to one lane nightly from Centerpoint Road to York Creek Road
  • Friday, Aug. 28 through Sunday, Aug. 30 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Southbound I-35 Posey Road exit (#199) and York Creek Road exit (#196) are closed
  • Until further notice
• Northbound and southbound I-35 right lane closed nightly from York Creek Road to Centerpoint Road. Multiple ramps will also be closed.
  • Saturday, Aug. 29 through Sunday, Aug. 30 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.

I-35 MAINTENANCE PROJECTS

• Northbound and southbound I-35 left lane closed nightly from FM 3406 to US 79
  • Monday, Aug. 31 through Tuesday, Sept. 1 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Southbound I-35 Parmer Lane entrance ramp and Braker Lane exit (#246) closed
  • Monday, Aug. 31 from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m.
• Northbound I-35 right lane closed from Flores Street to Sherbarb Street. The Bastrop/Luling exit (#205) will also be closed.
