Interstate 35 Lane Closures Nov. 14-20, 2020

AUSTIN, TX — The Texas Department of Transportation has issued its weekly list of Interstate 35 lane closures, aleting motorists ahead of time where potential traffic congestion might emerge. By checking the list ahead of time, drivers are able to plot out alternative routes to avoid traffic jams.

Closures are needed weekly as road crews perform repair work, striping, sign installation and other needs. The latest list covers the period between Nov. 14-20.

I-35 AT RONALD REAGAN BOULEVARD

• Northbound I-35 reduced to one lane at Ronald Reagan Boulevard
  • Sunday, Nov. 15 through Thursday, Nov. 19 from 8 p.m. until 5 a.m.

I-35 FROM RM 1431 TO FM 3406 (NORTHBOUND)

• Northbound I-35 frontage road right lane closed from Jeffrey Way to the RM 1431 exit (#256)
  • Through early 2021
• Northbound I-35 reduced to one lane from RM 620 to FM 3406. The RM 620 entrance ramp and FM 3406 exit (#254) will also be closed.
  • Sunday, Nov. 15 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.

I-35 AT PARMER LANE

• Northbound I-35 bypass lane closed at Parmer Lane
  • Through December
• Southbound I-35 Parmer Lane entrance ramp is closed
  • Through December
• Eastbound Parmer Lane left lane closed daily from the northbound I-35 frontage road to Center Lake Drive
  • Saturday, Nov 14 through Wednesday, Nov. 18 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
• Southbound I-35 right lane closed from Parmer Lane to Yager Lane
  • Thursday, Nov. 19 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.

I-35 FROM RUNDBERG LANE TO US 290 EAST

• Northbound US 183 frontage road reduced to one lane from I-35 to Gessner Drive
  • Through December 2020
• Northbound I-35 frontage road left lane closed nightly from US 183 to Rundberg Lane
  • Sunday, Nov. 15 through Thursday, Nov. 19 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Northbound US 183 frontage road closed nightly from I-35 to Gessner Drive
  • Sunday, Nov. 15 through Thursday, Nov. 19 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Northbound US 183 frontage road closed nightly from I-35 to Gessner Drive
  • Sunday, Nov. 15 through Thursday, Nov. 19 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Southbound I-35 right lane closed nightly from Huntland Drive to US 290 East. The St. Johns Avenue entrance ramp and 51st Street exit (#237B) will also be closed.

• Southbound I-35 frontage road closed nightly from Wonsley Drive to US 183. The US 183/St. Johns Avenue exit (#240) will also be closed.

• Northbound I-35 to northbound US 183 flyover closed nightly
  • Sunday, Nov. 15 through Thursday, Nov. 19 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Northbound I-35 frontage road left lane closed daily from Camino La Costa to Blackson Avenue
  • Monday, Nov. 16 through Friday, Nov. 20 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
• Southbound I-35 frontage road right lane closed daily from Blackson Avenue to Huntland Drive
  • Monday, Nov. 16 through Friday, Nov. 20 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
• Southbound I-35 closed from Rundberg Lane to US 183. The Rundberg Lane entrance ramp will also be closed.
  • Wednesday, Nov. 18 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Northbound I-35 closed from US 290 East to Rundberg Lane. The US 290 East entrance ramp and US 183 exit (#240) will also be closed.
  • Thursday, Nov. 19 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.

I-35 FROM STASSNEY LANE TO WILLIAM CANNON DRIVE

• Southbound I-35 reduced to one lane nightly from Battle Bend Boulevard to Slaughter Lane. Multiple entrance and exit ramps will close as needed.
  • Friday, Nov. 13 through Thursday, Nov. 19 from 9 p.m. until 6 a.m.
• Northbound and southbound I-35 frontage road right lane closed daily from Battle Bend Boulevard to Slaughter Lane
  • Saturday, Nov. 14 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
• Northbound I-35 frontage road right lane closed daily from William Cannon Drive to Stassney Lane
  • Saturday, Nov. 14 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
• Southbound I-35 left lane closed daily at William Cannon Drive
  • Saturday, Nov. 14 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
• Southbound I-35 frontage road right lane closed daily from Stassney Lane to William Cannon Drive
