Interstate 35 Lane Closures Nov. 21-27, 2020

AUSTIN, TX — The Texas Department of Transportation on Friday issued its weekly list of Interstate 35 lane closures, yielding a helpful motorists' guide. By checking the list ahead of time, drivers know ahead of time what areas along the key stretch of roadway to avoid for possible traffic congestion.

The list might be especially helpful as driving primer in the coming days as people embark on holiday travel ahead of Thanksgiving. The latest list covers the period between Nov. 21-27.

I-35 FROM RM 1431 TO FM 3406 (NORTHBOUND)

• Northbound I-35 frontage road right lane closed from Jeffrey Way to the RM 1431 exit (#256)
  • Through early 2021
• Northbound I-35 reduced to one lane from US 79 to Old Settlers Boulevard. The RM 620 entrance ramp and Old Settlers Boulevard exit (#254) will also be closed.
  • Sunday, Nov. 22 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.

I-35 AT PARMER LANE

• Northbound I-35 bypass lane closed at Parmer Lane
  • Through early 2021

I-35 FROM RUNDBERG LANE TO US 290 EAST

• Northbound US 183 frontage road reduced to one lane from I-35 to Gessner Drive
  • Through December 2020
• Northbound I-35 frontage road left lane closed nightly from Hermitage Drive to Rundberg Lane. The Rundberg Lane entrance ramp will also be closed.
  • Sunday, Nov. 22 through Tuesday, Nov. 24 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Northbound US 183 frontage road closed nightly from I-35 to Gessner Drive
  • Sunday, Nov. 22 through Tuesday, Nov. 24 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Northbound US 183 frontage road closed nightly from Clock Tower Drive to I-35. The I-35/Lamar Boulevard exit will also be closed.
  • Sunday, Nov. 22 through Tuesday, Nov. 24 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Northbound I-35 to northbound US 183 flyover closed nightly
  • Sunday, Nov. 22 through Tuesday, Nov. 24 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Southbound US 183 frontage road left lane closed nightly from I-35 to Carver Avenue
  • Sunday, Nov. 22 through Tuesday, Nov. 24 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Northbound I-35 frontage road closed daily from La Posada Drive to Blackson Avenue
  • Monday, Nov. 23 through Tuesday, Nov. 24 from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m.
• Southbound I-35 frontage road right lane closed daily from Blackson Avenue to Huntland Drive
  • Monday, Nov. 23 through Tuesday, Nov. 24 from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m.
• Southbound I-35 frontage road right lane closed from Middle Lane to Powell Lane. The US 183 exit (#240) will also be closed.
  • Tuesday, Nov. 24 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.

• Northbound I-35 frontage road right lane closed from William Cannon Drive to Stassney Lane
  • Saturday, Nov. 21 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
• Southbound I-35 frontage road left lane closed from Corral Lane to Foremost Drive
  • Saturday, Nov. 21 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
• Southbound I-35 frontage road right lane closed from Stassney Lane to William Cannon Drive
  • Saturday, Nov. 21 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
• Southbound I-35 frontage road left lane closed from St. Elmo Road to Stassney Lane
