Interstate 35 Lane Closures For Oct. 2-9, 2020

AUSTIN, TX — The Texas Department of Transportation has released its weekly list of lane closures along Interstate 35, yielding a helpful navigation guide for drivers. By checking the list before traveling, motorists are able to know in advance locations along the highway where potential congestion might emerge — enabling drivers to alter their plans accordingly.

The latest list of lane closures covers the period between Oct. 2-9.

I-35 FROM RM 1431 TO FM 3406 (NORTHBOUND)

• Northbound I-35 frontage road right lane closed from Jeffrey Way to the RM 1431 exit (#256)
  • Through early 2021
• Northbound I-35 reduced to one lane nightly from US 79 to RM 1431. The RM 1431 exit (#256) and the Westinghouse Road exit (#257) will also be closed.
  • Sunday, Oct. 4 through Monday, Oct. 5 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Northbound and southbound I-35 left lane closed nightly from FM 3406 to Teravista Parkway
  • Tuesday, Oct. 6 through Wednesday, Oct. 7 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Southbound I-35 reduced to one lane at RM 1431
  • Thursday, Oct. 8 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.

I-35 AT PARMER LANE

• Willow Bend Drive closed continuously at Parmer Lane
  • Through Friday, Oct. 9

I-35 FROM RUNDBERG LANE TO US 290 EAST

• Northbound US 183 frontage road reduced to one lane continuously from I-35 to Gessner Drive
  • Through December
• Northbound I-35 frontage road right lane closed nightly from Norwood Park Boulevard to Fenelon Drive
  • Sunday, Oct. 4 through Tuesday, Oct. 5 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Southbound I-35 reduced to one lane nightly from Rundberg Lane to US 183. The Rundberg Lane entrance ramp will also be closed.
  • Sunday, Oct. 4 through Thursday, Oct. 8 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Southbound US 183 right lane closed from I-35 to the Cameron Road exit
  • Sunday, Oct. 4 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Southbound I-35 frontage road right lane closed nightly from Blackson Avenue to Huntland Drive
  • Sunday, Oct. 4 through Thursday, Oct. 8 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Southbound I-35 frontage road right lane closed daily from Blackson Avenue to Huntland Drive
  • Monday, Oct. 5 through Friday, Oct. 9 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.

I-35 FROM STASSNEY LANE TO WILLIAM CANNON DRIVE

• Northbound I-35 closed from Slaughter Lane to Stassney Lane. Multiple ramps will also be closed.
  • Saturday, Oct. 3 from 9 p.m. until 10 a.m.
• Northbound I-35 frontage road left lane closed from William Cannon Drive to Stassney Lane
  • Saturday, Oct. 3 from 9 p.m. until 10 a.m.
• Eastbound and westbound William Cannon Drive closed at I-35
  • Saturday, Oct. 3 from 9 p.m. until 10 a.m.
• Eastbound and westbound Stassney Lane closed at I-35
  • Saturday, Oct. 3 from 9 p.m. until 10 a.m.
• Northbound I-35 reduced to one lane nightly at Slaughter Lane. The Slaughter Lane entrance ramp will also be closed.
  • Sunday, Oct. 4 through Tuesday, Oct. 6 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Northbound I-35 right lane closed nightly from Slaughter Lane to Stassney Lane. Multiple ramps will also be closed.
  • Sunday, Oct. 4 through Thursday, Oct. 8 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Southbound I-35 frontage road left lane closed daily from Foremost Drive to Slaughter Lane
  • Monday, Oct. 5 through Saturday, Oct. 10 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
• Northbound I-35 reduced to one lane nightly from Slaughter Lane to Stassney Lane. The Slaughter Lane entrance ramp will also be closed.
  • Tuesday, Oct. 6 through Friday, Oct. 9 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.

I-35 AT POSEY ROAD

• Northbound I-35 Posey Road exit (#199) closed
  • Until further notice
• Southbound I-35 York Creek Road exit (#196) closed
  • Until further notice

I-35 MAINTENANCE PROJECTS

• Southbound I-35 frontage road right lane closed from Concordia Avenue to Luther Lane
  • Through November

OTHER I-35 CLOSURES

• Northbound I-35 reduced to one lane continuously from Conrads Lane to Watson Lane
