Interstate 35 Lane Closures For Sept. 19-25, 2020

AUSTIN, TX — The Texas Department of Transportation has issued its weekly list of Interstate 35 lane closures. This list is useful, enabling prepared drivers to check for spots of potential traffic congestion and travel accordingly.

The latest list covers the period between Sept. 19-25.

I-35 FROM CORN HILL (BUD STOCKTON LOOP) TO FM 972

• Southbound I-35 reduced to one lane at Ronald Reagan Boulevard
  • Sunday, Sept. 20 from 8:30 p.m. to 5 a.m.
• Southbound I-35 reduced to one lane at CR 143
  • Monday, Sept. 21 from 8:30 p.m. to 5 a.m.

I-35 FROM RM 1431 TO FM 3406 (NORTHBOUND)

• Northbound I-35 frontage road reduced to one lane from Jeffrey Way to the RM 1431 exit (#256)
  • Through early 2021

I-35 AT PARMER LANE

• Northbound and southbound Willow Bend Drive closed continuously at Parmer Lane
  • Friday, Sept. 18 at 9 a.m. through Friday, Oct. 2 until 5 p.m.
• Eastbound and westbound Indian Mound Drive closed continuously at the I-35 frontage road
  • Monday, Sept 21 at 9 a.m. through Wednesday, Sept. 23 until 9 a.m.

I-35 FROM RUNDBERG LANE TO US 290 EAST

• Southbound I-35 frontage road left lane closed nightly from the US 183/St. Johns Avenue exit (#240) to Powell Lane. The US 183/St. Johns Avenue exit will also be closed.
  • Sunday, Sept. 20 through Thursday, Sept. 24 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Southbound I-35 frontage road closed nightly at US 183
  • Sunday, Sept. 20 through Thursday, Sept. 24 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Northbound I-35 right lane closed nightly from US 183 to Rundberg Lane. The Rundberg Lane exit (#241) will also be closed.
  • Monday, Sept. 21 through Thursday, Sept. 24 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Northbound I-35 frontage road left lane closed daily from Camino La Costa to Blackson Avenue
  • Monday, Sept. 21 through Friday, Sept. 25 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
• Southbound I-35 frontage road left lane closed daily from Blackson Avenue to Huntland Drive
  • Monday, Sept. 21 through Friday, Sept. 25 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.

I-35 FROM STASSNEY LANE TO WILLIAM CANNON DRIVE

• Southbound I-35 frontage road right lane closed daily from Stassney Lane to Little Texas Lane
  • Saturday, Sept. 19 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
• Southbound I-35 frontage road right turn lane closed daily at Stassney Lane
  • Saturday, Sept. 19 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
• Southbound I-35 frontage road right lane closed daily from Corral Lane to Slaughter Lane
  • Saturday, Sept. 19 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
• Northbound I-35 frontage road right lane closed daily from Slaughter Lane to William Cannon Drive

  • Monday, Sept. 21 through Saturday, Sept. 26 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
• Northbound I-35 reduced to one lane from Slaughter Lane to Stassney Lane
  • Monday, Sept. 21 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Southbound I-35 frontage road right turn lane closed daily at Stassney Lane
  • Wednesday, Sept. 23 through Thursday, Sept. 24 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
• Southbound I-35 Slaughter Lane exit (#227) closed nightly
  • Wednesday, Sept. 23 through Thursday, Sept. 24 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Northbound I-35 frontage road right lane closed from William Cannon Drive to Boggy Creek Drive
  • Thursday, Sept. 24 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.

• Posey Road bridge closed at I-35

• Southbound I-35 frontage road closed continuously from Posey Road to York Creek Road
