Interstate 35 Lane Closures Slated Sept. 25 to Oct. 2, 2020

AUSTIN, TX — With clockwork precision, the Texas Department of Transportation has released its weekly list of Interstate 35 lane closures. This list is a valuable primer for drivers, enabling methodical motorists to avoid potential congestion by consulting it before travel.

The latest list covers the period between Sept. 25 to Oct. 2. This week's closures are:

I-35 FROM CORN HILL (BUD STOCKTON LOOP) TO FM 972

• Southbound I-35 reduced to one lane at Ronald Reagan Boulevard
  • Monday, Sept. 28 from 8:30 p.m. until 5 a.m.
  • Wednesday, Sept. 30 from 8:30 p.m. until 5 a.m.
  • Thursday, Oct. 1 from 8:30 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Southbound I-35 reduced to one lane nightly at CR 143
  • Tuesday, Sept. 29 through Thursday, Oct. 1 from 8:30 p.m. until 5 a.m.

I-35 FROM RM 1431 TO FM 3406 (NORTHBOUND)

• Northbound I-35 frontage road reduced to one lane from Jeffrey Way to the RM 1431 exit (#256)
  • Through early 2021

I-35 AT PARMER LANE

• Willow Bend Drive closed continuously at Parmer Lane
  • Through Friday, Oct. 9
• Indian Mound Drive closed continuously at the southbound I-35 frontage road
  • Monday, Sept. 28 through Wednesday, Sept. 30 from 9 a.m. until 9 a.m.
• Eastbound Parmer Lane right turn lane closed at the southbound I-35 frontage road
  • Wednesday, Sept. 30 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.

I-35 FROM RUNDBERG LANE TO US 290 EAST

• Southbound I-35 frontage road right lane closed from Blackson Avenue to Huntland Drive
  • Saturday, Sept. 26 from 6:30 a.m. until 11 a.m.
• Southbound I-35 right two lanes closed nightly at US 183. The Rundberg Lane entrance ramp will also be closed.
  • Sunday, Sept. 27 through Thursday, Oct. 1 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Southbound I-35 frontage road closed nightly from Wonsley Drive to US 183. The US 183/St. Johns Avenue exit (#240) will also be closed.
  • Sunday, Sept. 27 through Thursday, Oct. 1 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Southbound I-35 frontage road closed nightly from Middle Lane to Powell Lane
  • Sunday, Sept. 27 through Thursday, Oct. 1 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Southbound I-35 entrance ramp south of Huntland Drive closed nightly
  • Sunday, Sept. 27 through Thursday, Oct. 1 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Southbound US 183 frontage road closed nightly from I-35 to Providence Avenue
  • Sunday, Sept. 27 through Thursday, Oct. 1 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Northbound US 183 frontage road left lane closed nightly from Rutherford Road to Cameron Road
  • Monday, Sept. 28 through Thursday, Oct. 1 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Southbound I-35 frontage road right lane closed daily from Blackson Avenue to Huntland Drive
  • Monday, Sept. 28 through Friday, Oct. 2 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
• Northbound US 183 frontage road left lane closed nightly from Cameron Road to Clock Tower Drive. The I-35/Lamar Boulevard exit and the Cameron Road entrance ramp will also be closed.
  • Tuesday, Sept. 29 through Thursday, Oct. 1 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• St. Johns Avenue closed nightly at the southbound I-35 frontage road
  • Tuesday, Sept. 29 through Thursday, Oct. 1 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.

I-35 FROM STASSNEY LANE TO WILLIAM CANNON DRIVE

• Northbound I-35 reduced to one lane from Brandt Road to Teri Road. The William Cannon Drive entrance ramp will also be closed.
  • Friday, Sept. 25 from 9 p.m. until 9 a.m.
• Northbound I-35 reduced to one lane nightly from Slaughter Lane to the Ben White Boulevard/Woodward Street exit (#230)
  • Saturday, Sept. 26 through Sunday, Sept. 27 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Northbound I-35 frontage road right lane closed at Stassney Lane
  • Saturday, Sept. 26 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
• Southbound I-35 frontage road right lane closed daily at Stassney Lane
  • Saturday, Sept. 26 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
• Northbound I-35 frontage road right lane closed from William Cannon Drive to Boggy Creek Drive
  • Saturday, Sept. 26 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
  • Sunday, Sept. 27 through Thursday, Oct. 1 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Northbound I-35 reduced to one lane from Slaughter Lane to William Cannon Drive. The Slaughter Lane entrance ramp will also be closed.

• Northbound I-35 reduced to one lane from William Cannon Drive to Teri Road. The Slaughter Lane entrance ramp will also be closed.
