Kendra Scott Honors Teachers With Special Discount

Ahead of World Teachers' Day, the noted fashion designer will offer educators a 20 percent discount at her stores.

AUSTIN, TX — Noted Austin fashion designer Kendra Scott will honor educators during the upcoming World Teachers' Day with a special discount at her boutiques.

To thank teacher's hard work, Kendra Scott stores will offer them a 20 percent discount on Monday (Oct. 5) when World Teachers' Day is celebrated, officials said in an advisory. Those unable to make it on Monday can avail themselves of the discount this weekend, starting on Saturday, officials added.

"Kendra Scott thanks you for doing good with us!" company officials wrote in their advisory. "Don't forget, all year-round teachers get 15 percent off their purchase at Kendra Scott if you can’t shop with us for our World Teachers' Day promotion."

A celebrated entrepreneur, Scott founded Kendra Scott LLC in 2002 with $500 in the spare bedroom of her home just after her oldest son was born, according to her biography. Initially walking to various stores selling local boutiques, she opened her first retail store along South Congress in 2010 before opening the flagship store at 3800 N. Lamar Blvd.
