LISD Clothes Closet To Reopen Ahead Of 2021-2022 School Year

LEANDER, TX—The Leander ISD Council of PTAs Clothes Closet —operated LISD PTA volunteers and working to provide gently used, clean school clothing as well as brand new underwear and socks, to students in need ages ages 4-18 or pre-K through high school— will re-open its doors on Tuesday, Aug. 10, ahead of the 2021-2022 school year. Families with a student at LISD is the only qualification to shop at Clothes Closet, and each family must obtain one voucher per child from the school nurse.

On Saturday, July 31 from 7:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. the Leander ISD will host its annual Backpack Attack event and interested attendees should be on the lookout for more information on this event via the LISD webpage. Families needing support during the summer may reach out to LISDPTACCCHAIR@gmail.com.

The community is invited to help support your Leander friends and neighbors and the LISD Clothes Closet by considering donating requested needed items including:

Current Donation Needs

• Boys' and Men's underwear- Sm, Med, Lrg and XL
• Girls Underwear - 2T-4T, 6, 12, 14 and 16
• Winter Coats and Hoodies - Boys, Girls, Mens and Women all sizes
• Women's and Men's Socks- Ankle and No show socks are prefered.
• Shoes- Especially boys size 4 -All sizes needed youth and adult sizes(child 9-adult 14)
