Travis County Sheriff's Office officials said the person whose body was found on a conveyer belt was a transient man named Randall Shinault.

TRAVIS COUNTY, TX — Travis County Sheriff's Office officials on Monday identified the man whose body was found on a conveyor belt at a recycling center on the city's outskirts on Thursday.
According to a sheriff's office advisory, employees at the recycling center off FM 1327 were sorting materials when they saw the man's body before calling 911. Arriving sheriff's deputies located the body, identified as 62-year-old Randall Shinault.
The deceased man was described as a transient, according to the sheriff's office advisory. Law enforcement officials issued a photo of the deceased man in the hopes someone might recognize him and alert as to his recent whereabouts prior to his death.

Officials said an investigation into Shinault’s cause of death, and how his body ultimately ended up at the recycling center is underway. Evidence collected to this point doesn’t definitively indicate foul play was involved, officials added, but hasn’t ruled it out as a possibility either. As a result, the sheriff's office said the case continues to be worked as a suspicious death.
