Man Shot In South Austin Road Rage Incident Dies Of Injuries
Omar Munguia, 20, crashed his car after being shot in what police described as a road rage incident in late November. He died on Wednesday.
SOUTH AUSTIN, TX — A man found suffering from gunshot wounds a week ago in South Austin died of his injuries this week, and police said they are seeking a suspect in the case.
Officers were dispatched on Nov. 25 to the vicinity of East Riverside Drive and Pleasant Valley Road amid reports of a rollover wreck. Upon arrival, police found the car passenger suffering from a gunshot wound. He was identified on Thursday as 20-year-old Omar Munguia.
Police determined the incident stemmed from road rage. The Austin Police Department is now offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to an arrest.
