Mexican American Cultural Center Hosts Viva Mexico! Celebration
The annual Mexican heritage celebration returns this Saturday.

The Emma S. Barrientos Mexican American Cultural Center is hosting its annual Viva Mexico! celebration on Saturday night in downtown Austin.
Oaxaca, Arte y Movimento Dance Co. will be perform folkloric Mexican dance and poetry and Teatro Espacio Agua Viva will perform “Se Vende Una Mula,” a short play based on an old Mexican folk tale.
Hispanic Alliance for the Performing Arts/Soundwaves will feature students performing Latin American classical compositions. Huapango Arribeno will present a heartfelt Mexican folk sound, closing with Las Coronelas, an all women mariachi ensemble, which will also perform Mexico’s National Anthem.

Shuttle bus service begins at 6pm at Sanchez Elementary and performances begin at 6:30 pm.
