Missing Elderly Man In North Austin Sought

AUSTIN, TX — Police are seeking help from the public in locating a missing elderly man last seen in North Austin.

John Charles Goodlet, 73, was last seen leaving his apartment along the 8000 block of North FM 620 just before 11 a.m., police said in an advisory. He is believed to be driving a 2020 white four-door Mitsubishi Mirage with plate 8619 V7 on the rear of the vehicle and Texas Disabled Plate 1DV6472 on the front, police said.

Police stressed that Goodlet's advanced age and medical condition heightens concern for his safety. He is described as a white man standing five feet, ten inches tall and weighing about 240 pounds. He has gray hair and brown eyes. Goodlet was last seen wearing a light blue North Face shirt and basketball-style, mesh short of undetermined brand and color.

Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts is asked to call 9-1-1 immediately and/or the Missing Persons Unit at (512) 974-5250 between the hours of 7 a.m. and 5 p.m.
