Multi-Vehicle Wreck Along I-35 Prompts Lane Closures, Congestion
The wreck along the southbound 2200 block of of the highway at the split reduces artery to a single lane, with heavy delays expected.
AUSTIN, TX — A wreck involving several vehicles along a stretch of Interstate 35 has the artery down to a single lane marked by heavy traffic congestion, police said Friday.
The multi-vehicle wreck occurred along the 2200 block of North I-35 southbound at the split, police wrote on Twitter. At least one person was hurt, but police said the nature of the injuries are unknown.
In the collision's aftermath, the highway stretch is down to a single lane. "Expect heavy delays," police wrote on Twitter just before 10:40 a.m. "Please avoid the area if possible."

In a subsequent tweet posted just past 11 a.m., police said the highway lanes were expected to reopen shortly.
