Pet Food Pantry Event In Austin Aims To Help Struggling Community
Austin Humane Society will host a drive thru, no contact delivery event offering bags of pet food for those struggling amid the pandemic.
AUSTIN, TX—Recognizing the greater need in the community as a result of the ongoing pandemic, Austin Humane Society (AHS) will host a Pet Food Pantry event for individuals with pets in need of support. Food will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis, and there will be a limited number of bags of food available per household.
The event scheduled Saturday, Feb. 13 from 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. will offer no contact delivery and attendees are asked to take note of the process for picking up food:
- Please enter the AHS shelter parking lot on the east side of our building at the Georgian entrance. Please refer to the map below. Once you have entered the parking lot, stay in your car, we will offer a no contact delivery of your pet food (we will either place the food in your trunk or seat).
- Please exit on the south side of our parking lot, exiting on the 183 (Research Blvd) feeder road heading north.
