Staffing Services Firm In Austin To Lay Off 80-Plus Workers
Remedy Application Inc. in West Austin alerted the Texas Workforce Commission of its plan to cease local operations, leading to 82 job cuts.
AUSTIN, TX — Remedy Application, Inc., a staffing services company, is laying off more than 80 of its employees in Austin, according to a notice sent to workforce regulators.
The company recently filed a notice in compliance with the Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act designed to give workers advance notice of furloughs. Patch reached out to the Texas Workforce Commission in securing correspondence from the company alerting to the layoffs.
According to the correspondence, officials at Remed Application Inc. and Remedy Urgent Care alerted state regulators on Oct. 22 of its plan to cease local operations. As a result, the letter details, 82 workers will be laid off locally.

The company lists an address of 5901 Vega Ave. in West Austin. No reason for the closure was given.
