Travis County Coronavirus Cases Grow By 152, 4 New Deaths

Data show 236 patients across the county are currently hospitalized with 89 being treated at intensive care units and 60 on ventilators.

AUSTIN, TX — Four more deaths from the coronavirus were reported in Travis County on Friday, along with 152 new cases of the respiratory illness, bringing the historical total to 23,870.

The data are found on a statistical dashboard maintained by Austin Public Health. The data show there are 236 patients across the county currently hospitalized with 89 being treated at intensive care units and another 60 on ventilators. The number of patients hospitalized as of Friday is a drop of 27 from the day before.

Health officials reported another 22 new hospital admissions, and placed the seven-day moving average of new hospitalizations at 33. So far, 332 people have died across the county since the onset of illness.
