Voicemail Bomb Threat Discovered At Austin School

AUSTIN, TX — Classes at Austin Independent School District were set to be held as normal following a bomb threat that was discovered before students arrived Monday

On Monday morning before school started, a staff member found a bomb threat in the form of a voicemail, according to school officials.

No students were in the building when the threat was discovered and all staff were evacuated from the building. Students who arrived at school drop off were held at a safe distance, officials said.

After a search, AISD police determined there was no threat to the school.

Classes were set to be held as normal throughout the day.

An investigation into the threat is ongoing.
