Volunteers Needed For Austin Food, Water Distribution Event

Austin area residents are encouraged to volunteer and help neighbors struggling to secure food and water following the recent winter storm.

AUSTIN, TX—Austin neighbors are invited to lend a helping hand to assist those experiencing hardship resulting from the recent winter storm. Several community members are struggling to meet basic needs including food and water, and volunteers are sought to help distribute food to area neighbors at Austin's Millennium Youth Complex.

50 volunteers are needed daily for Thursday, Feb. 25 and Friday, Feb. 26 in 4-hour shifts beginning at 10 a.m. (25 for set up and 25 for breakdown). The food and water distribution event ensures all volunteers will be able to assist during the day, and individuals may learn more or register HERE.
