WilCo Offices To Close On Veterans Day 2020
While offices are closed, the animal shelter will remain open for 'Paw-triots 4 Patriots' during which resident can get a pet for $4.
WILLIAMSON COUNTY, TX — Williamson County offices will close for the upcoming Veterans Day observance, officials said.
The closure of local government offices is slated for this coming Wednesday. The county will resume normal working hours by the following day (Thursday, Nov. 12), officials wrote in an advisory.
City officials noted that the Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter will be open regular hours by appointment on Wednesday from noon to 6 p.m. Schedule your adoption appointment by emailing adoption@wilco.org. The day offers a deal: Adopt an adult dog, cat or kitten for only $4 on Veterans Day.

The dogs and cats of Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter are ready to deploy to their newest mission: "Paw-triots 4 Patriots," officials said. "Their mission includes belly rub preparedness, bird watching expertise, mailman surveillance, hidden dog bone extraction and more," officials wrote. "These dogs and cats may not be as brave and bold as our military veterans, but they do vow to be as loyal."
