TRAVIS COUNTY, TX — The Travis County Sheriff's Office is seeking help from the public in identifying a suspect who is accused of attacking a woman at a North Austin hotel.

The sheriff's office on Monday said the incident occurred this past Saturday just before 12:30 a.m. at the Country Inn and Suites on the 14620 N. Interstate 35 southbound service road. Sheriff's officials said the suspect walked around the lower hotel floor for several minutes before entering the kitchen area, where he physically attacked a female employee.

The suspect struggled with the female for over 10 minutes, sheriff's officials said, pinning her to the ground with his body weight. Sheriff's officials said he later placed the woman in various choke holds before attempting to smother her with a small white towel or cloth.
