• Underdog Rams defy the odds en route to state semifinal berth (sanmarcosrecord.com) — Hill Country Christian’s football team capped a breakthrough season by upsetting Fredericksburg Heritage 42-38 on the road, their first win there since 2015, to clinch a share of the district title. Led by new head coach and alum Brodie Flack, the underdog Rams overcame injuries, embraced a gritty team culture, and powered through the TAPPS playoffs all the way to the state semifinals.
