• Student committees select innovative classroom grants for funding (myreporternews.com) — Friendswood ISD students just helped choose which innovative classroom grants will be funded across Cline, Windsong, Friendswood Junior High, and Friendswood High School, shaping new learning opportunities on their own campuses. From STEM builds and chick incubation to ceramics, sewing, veterinary science, and outdoor recreation, these Mustang Association-funded projects were selected through a hands-on grant review process that builds student leadership and ownership.
   

• FHS Debate Team competes in Cypress Ranch, Jersey Village tournaments (myreporternews.com) — Friendswood High School’s Speech & Debate team turned in another standout weekend, with Friendswood students reaching semifinals and finals in multiple speaking and debate events at Cypress Ranch and Jersey Village tournaments. Competitors from Friendswood High and Friendswood Junior High earned top finishes in extemporaneous speaking, congressional debate, public forum, Lincoln-Douglas, and cross-examination, underscoring the program’s depth and momentum.
