• Jim Ragsdale (victoriaadvocate.com) — A longtime Hallettsville resident who graduated from Hallettsville High School and later ranched part time in the area has passed away at age 80. James “Jim” Ragsdale Jr. built his career and family life in Victoria, served in the Army, and stayed active in community and conservation work. Visitation and services are set for Saturday, December 13, at Grace Memorial Chapel at Memory Gardens.
