• Eugene Clary (thehamiltonherald-news.com) — Longtime Hamilton resident Eugene “Gene” Clary, a 95-year-old Army veteran and devoted First Presbyterian Church member, has passed away. He spent decades living and serving in Hamilton, including work in local healthcare and the Lions Club, before his recent death in Gatesville. Family, friends, and neighbors will remember his quiet service and dry humor.
   

• Could Billy the Kid Have Lived His Last Days in Central, Texas? Weird Wild West (kvue.com) — A long-running legend in nearby Hico, in Hamilton County, claims Billy the Kid survived New Mexico and lived out his days there as Brushy Bill Roberts. The town now leans into the mystery with a dedicated museum, a downtown statue, and an annual festival that draw visitors and tourism dollars into this corner of Central Texas.
