January is Board Appreciation Month. During this month, Harlingen CISD honors its Board of Trustees for their dedication and willingness to serve as advocates for our children and public schools. As elected officials, they are the voice of their communities, serving first and foremost in the best interest of Texas schoolchildren.
Across the district, campuses will join the celebration by displaying messages of appreciation on school marquees and hallway walls. In addition, each board member will be showcased on the district website during the week of January 10 -14.

To commemorate the occasion, board members will be celebrated during the regular HCISD Board of Trustees meeting on January 11, 2022. Serving on HCISD’s Board of Trustees are Gerry Fleuriet – President,  Dr. Bobby Muniz  –Vice President, Javier De Leon– Secretary, Dr. Belinda Reininger  –Member, Greg Powers – Member, Dr. Nolan Perez – Member, Eladio Jaimez– Member.
