• Texas Medical Board disciplines Harlingen cardiologist after patient death (valleycentral.com) — A Harlingen-based cardiologist has been formally disciplined by the Texas Medical Board after a patient died following surgery, and his practice will now be closely monitored for a year. The order requires limits on his practice, outside review of selected patient records, and additional medical education, while the doctor says he disagrees with some findings but will fully comply and continue treating complex cases.
