3 UH Robberies Have Police Increasing Patrols On Campus
Police have already begun to increase patrols after three students were robbed in three different parking lots.

HOUSTON — A string of robberies on the University of Houston campus over a span of about 10 days has university officials reminding students, faculty, and staff members to be aware of their surroundings.
Police have already begun to increase patrols after three students were robbed in three different parking lots.
One of those robberies happened on Jan. 7 at the Cullen Oaks parking garage. A UH student told police he was rollerblading on top of the garage, when several men drove up, attacked him and stole his car.

The car, a black 2016 Kia with the Texas license plate KXX0328, has not been found. A second incident happened last Saturday, Jan. 12, when a student who was leaning on his car was approached by about 5 young men who stole his wallet.
The last robbery happened Tuesday at the Bayou Oaks parking lot. A student told police he was sitting in his car when two men walked up, opened his passenger side door, and pointed a gun at his head. The student gave the men his wallet, phone and the keys to his maroon Pontiac G6, which was later found.

Officials said one juvenile has been arrested in connection with one of the robberies, and they are asking anyone with information on these crimes to call the UHPD 713-743-333.
