5 Bulldog Puppies Valued At $44K Stolen In Pet Store Heist

Dog Gone Caper: It only took a few seconds for burglars to make off with 5 English and French bulldog puppies from a Houston petshop

HOUSTON — Houston Police are looking for two men who broke into a pet store and made off with 5 bulldog puppies valued at more than $44,000. The puppy heist happened on April 29 in the 11500 block East F.M. 1960 Road.

Investigators released store surveillance that shows two masked men wearing hoodies and dark pants pull up in a dark colored Honda Accord at about 3:30 a.m.

The two men break in through the front window to get inside the pet shop, and go immediately to a small area where the English and French bulldogs were penned.

One of the men leans over the top of the penned area and gathers the puppies into two duffle bags, while another rushes out the door with one of the bags.

The burglary only took a few seconds, and the two thieves are seen driving away in the Honda less than two minutes after breaking in the store.

Officials said that since the April 29 burglary, three of the pilfered puppies have been returned to the store, but two are still missing.

Crime Stoppers may pay up to $5,000 for information leading to criminal charges and/or the arrest of the two suspects in this case. Information may be reported by calling 713-222-TIPS (8477).
