5 New Ambulances Added To Houston Fire Department Fleet At $900K
HFD is getting 5 new ambulances added to its fleet, according to HFD Chief Samuel Pena

HOUSTON - Five Houston Fire Stations will be getting new ambulances ion the coming weeks, Houston Fire Chief Samuel Pena announced Thursday.
Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner approved $900,000 in additional funds to buy five Frazer built ambulances. The new units will be housed at Stations 3, 12, 24, 40 and 49, Pena said.
This is the first addition of new equipment since July 2018 when the city began adding 28 ambulances to the HFD EMS fleet.

The Houston Fire Department has been dealing with numerous equipment failures, particulary since Hurricane Harvey.
