1. Houston-area suburbs Missouri City and Atascocita have been named by personal finance website SmartAsset as some of the most livable small cities in the United State. This year’s SmartAsset study positions Atascocita No. 85 and Missouri City No. 90 overall. (CultureMap Houston)

2. A man is expected to be alright after he was shot early Sunday morning at a restaurant in north Houston, according to Harris County deputies. The shooting happened just before 1:45 a.m. when deputies said an argument between two men broke out at Ostioneria Michoacan off the North Freeway near Richey Road. (ABC 13)

3. A 52-year-old man was sentenced to serve 22 years in prison for molesting a 9-year-old at a local thrift store in 2016, Harris County District Attorney Kim Ogg announced Saturday. A Harris County jury convicted Mario Alverto Navarro on Wednesday of aggravated sexual assault of a child under the age of 14. Navarro requested to be sentenced by a judge instead of the jury. 4. Texas EquuSearch is asking for help finding a 69-year-old man from Houston. Officials say Henry Schelsteder is a contract driver who was on his way to make a delivery in Dallas. Schelsteder was last heard from near Madisonville, but his location has not yet been confirmed. (KHOU 11)

5. Houston-based Bosscat Kitchen will open a location at Market Street in The Woodlands, Bosscat owner John Reed announced. Market Street management said the restaurant is set for a November 2022 opening. Bosscat will be located at 9595 Six Pines Drive, The Woodlands. (Community Impact Newspaper)

  • Houston is hoping to be a host city for 2026 FIFA World Cup. Strengths Houston has going for it include accessibility to the area, the facilities that will likely be used for the teams and events and the geographic location. (KHOU 11)
