1. After 27 years, a popular Thai restaurant in west Houston said its goodbyes on Monday and announced it will no longer serve locals. Thai Gourmet sat on 6324 Richmond Ave. and was known for its "very tasty, five-level hot curry," according to one customer. (ABC 13)

2. A man who was walking in north Houston was shot and killed by a group of teens on Monday night, according to police. Houston Police Department investigators said when officers arrived at the scene near the intersection of Fulton and East Crosstimbers streets around 8:40 p.m., they found the man who had been shot. He was taken to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead. (KHOU 11)

3. Crust Pizza opened its newest location at 14441 FM 2920, Tomball, on April 23. The store features curbside pickup and specials, such as kids-eat-free Tuesdays and half-off wine Wednesdays. Guests can also unique items such as cauliflower crust. (Community Impact News)

4. The Houston Texans are signing veteran defensive lineman Jerry Hughes, according to KPRC 2 Sports. Hughes was born in Sugar Land and starred there at Fort Bend Austin High School before a strong career at Texas Christian University and becoming a first-round pick of the Indianapolis Colts in the 2010 NFL Draft. 5. La Calle has opened its third Bayou City location at the corner of Ella Boulevard and 34th Street (3321 Ella Boulevard). It is inspired by Mexico City Central de Abasto market, the interior features a map showing famous CDMX landmarks and vintage TVs broadcasting telenovelas, soccer matches, and movies from Mexican wrestling icon El Santo.   • More than 400 Houston Independent School District seniors from multiple high schools will walk the stage on May 12 and receive an associate degree diploma or Level 1 certificate credential at the Houston Community College commencement ceremonies. (HISD)
